Beam Positioner

Irco BeamPositioners are currently available in nine standard models. Load range varies from 1500 lbs at 24" centre of gravity, to 120,000 lbs at 48" (see charts below for complete specifications).

The Beam positioner can orient any workpiece into an ideal position for welding. It not only rotates but allows for adjustment relative to centre of gravity of the workpiece.

Two positioners can be spaced at an appropriate distance apart and used in tandem to enable the manipulation of large workpieces that would overload a single machine.

Common Specifications for all IRCO Beam Positioners
  • All Beam positioners are capable of tilting 25° up and 20° down
  • Beams can be repositioned to bring the centre of gravity closer to centre of rotation (see chart for range)
  • All necessary hydraulic components and check valves are included
  • Motors are A/C reversible Brake motors c/w fused protection
  • Motors are open drip-proof type
  • Electrics can be 575 or 460v (this must be specified at time of order)
  • Operators controls are reduced to 110v for safety
  • Axis of rotation can be easily adjusted through the hydraulic controls
  • Roto-Tables, Face Plates, Combo Beam, Replacement Load Beams, Replacement Load Bars are available as options
  • Note! - Load capacity of positoner is reduced when using Roto-Table option - see separate load chart
