Offshore Technology Conference - OTC logoIRCO will have a pipe cell welding at this year’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC – 2017) in Houston, May 1 – 4. The integrated cell will feature a PortaWelder™, 3K Tilt Rotate Welding Positioner, Pipe Stand and 3 Jaw Chuck.
 
For the first time ever, Industrial Solutions Innovation (ISI) will configure an IRCO PortaWelder™ for SpinArc welding.


 

What is SpinArc Welding?

SpinArc is a new GMAW process which uses a special welding gun to rotate the wire at a set speed, usually 2,000 – 4,000 RPM. The gun allows the welder to control the speed, diameter and the rotational direction of the welding wire. This can provide more flexibility in the types of joints that can be welded and/or enhance productivity.
